Everyone Can Explore the Universe at the 2nd Annual Dahlonega Science Festival, March 1 – 3, 2019

Dahlonega, GA, December 14, 2018 – The Dahlonega Science Council, an organization dedicated to bringing science-oriented events to the local community, announced today that the 2nd Annual Dahlonega Science Festival will take place on the weekend of March 1 – 3, 2019.  The festival will feature science-themed events that are open and free to the public. 
 
Example events include:
 
  • talks and panels with scientists
  • planetarium shows
  • forensics laboratory
  • Makers Fair
  • hands-on activities for kids
  • children’s stage show
 
The 2019 Dahlonega Science Festival will be held in collaboration with the Dahlonega Literary Festival.
 
Locations and Times
Events will take place at businesses around the square in downtown Dahlonega as well as at the University of North Georgia’s Dahlonega campus. 
 
Events will be held on Friday, March 1 from 6 – 9 pm, Saturday, March 2 from 10 am – 6 pm, and Sunday, March 3 from 10 am – 12 pm.
