2019 Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival

  • Share:
January 10, 2019
Chestatee Artists presents the 4th Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival, May 18 & 19, 2019. The festival will feature high quality arts & crafts, live jazz performances, and a Wine Garden with fine local and regional wines. As in the past, the festival will be located around the historic downtown and in the adjacent Hancock Park.

Chestatee Artists is a non-profit organization. The festival is the only fundraiser for Chestatee Artists to make funds available for the Lumpkin County Education Foundation, specifically to encourage and support art expression and creative thinking. A recent donation included funds for a kiln for Long Branch Elementary School so students can engage in creating clay products. This information will be promoted during the festival so our attendees can make tax deductible donations.

Chestatee Artists needs volunteers to make this festival successful.  Many volunteers come back each year to help make this festival run smoothly and because it is so much fun!  So, we invite members of the community to join the excitement. Volunteering gives you the satisfaction of working to support local art opportunities AND you will receive one of our coveted Festival T-Shirts, reserved only for volunteers. Sponsorships are also needed to support the expenses of presenting the festival. Being a sponsor provides for many promotional opportunities for businesses based on their level of support. Folks interested in volunteering or being sponsors can email us at chestatee.artists@gmail.com

Save the dates of May 18 and May 19 to enjoy high quality arts and crafts, finger snapping live music, and fine wines!  The excitement begins at 10 am both days, and closes at 6 pm on Saturday and 5 pm on Sunday.  Artists and crafters are also invited to apply for this juried festival before the deadline of March 8. Applications are available at our Chestatee Artists website at www.chestateeartists.org

For more information, check out our Chestatee Artists web site and our Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival facebook page. We will be posting sponsors of the festival and participating wineries, as well as photos of the beautiful artworks from our juried artists and crafters.
