This North Georgia mountain weekend retreat 4/28-4/30 will include two yoga classes (one restorative/gentle class with aromatherapy and one morning ''wake up'' class) and two longer focused workshop style classes (2-2.5 hours each). All classes/workshops will incorporate meditation and relaxation as well as some partner poses in the workshops. All classes/workshops are open to beginners and suitable for all levels.
The retreat will include activities such as a group hike, walking meditation, and outdoor bonfire (weather permitting). The workshops will explore therapeutic poses and guidelines for incorporating yoga and meditation more fully in your life. The weekend will include healthy meal options and opportunities to discuss nutrition and healing foods. The retreat will be an opportunity to reflect, recharge, and re-align your mind and body in a beautiful and welcoming location in the North Georgia Mountains (just 1.5 hours from Atlanta). Participants can choose to be involved in all or some activities.
Rates are all inclusive and cover deluxe accommodations for 2 nights in your choice of main inn or cabins, delicious food, and all activities, including the 4 yoga classes/workshops. Dahlonega Spa Resort has a restaurant and yoga studio on site, as well as several acres of wooded hiking trails, a spa, hot tub, meditation labyrinth, and beautiful views. Meals can be prepared with any dietary restrictions in mind, and the restaurant offers vegetarian/vegan, gluten free, dairy free, soy free options. Our retreat includes 5 meals, beginning with dinner on Friday and ending with breakfast on Sunday.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28:
Afternoon: Check in and relax/explore
6:30pm: Orientation followed by Dinner
7:30 pm: Welcome, introductions, overview of retreat (mingle and meet other retreat members, learn more about our plans, set weekend intentions)
7:45-8:45: Evening Gentle/Restorative Yoga class with aromatherapy (Relax and Restore)
9pm onwards: Open time to relax, hang out on the porch, hot tub, etc.
SATURDAY, APRIL 29:
8:30-9:30am Morning Yoga: Wake up and stretch!
(This class will focus upon some morning poses to wake up the spine, some flowing movements, standing poses and twists to bring energy to the body).
10:30-12:30 Free time. from
11-12:30. Optional: Group hike/nature walk and labyrinth walk for those interested
3:30-5:30pm Yoga Workshop: Getting Grounded: Strengthening the feet, hips, and legs
(This workshop will focus upon hip openers, foot and ankle stretching, and standing poses. We will practice for approximately half the time and then discuss proper alignment, sequencing of poses, and specific issues surrounding the hips and legs. Class will include meditation and relaxation).

SUNDAY, APRIL 30:
9:30-11:30 Yoga Workshop: Unraveling the Spine: The Joy of Twists and Backbends
(This workshop will focus upon the back, spine, and the upper body—including the neck and shoulders. We will practice poses to warm up the spine and support the back body, and then work on twists, backbends, and shoulder openers. This workshop will include some partner work. Class will include meditation and relaxation).
11:30-12:00 Mini class on yoga and nutrition/recipes for healing/yoga and detox
12:00: Closing circle/ Reflections on the retreat weekend.
Participants will have to check out from rooms by 11:00, but can stay and use facilities and the resort grounds through the afternoon if they would like.
