Name: "I Do" in Dahlonega Wedding Expo
Date: April 2, 2017
Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT
Trip Builder: View Trip
Event Description:
More than 500 “I Do” wedding vows are exchanged each year in Dahlonega-Lumpkin County, and each one is as varied and diverse as the brides, grooms and the weddings themselves.  That’s because Dahlonega-Lumpkin County boasts multiple wedding venues with a wide choice of charming services and businesses that support these magical wedding events.

Weddings are such an important event in a bride and groom’s lives. It is their “new chapter” - the coming together of families and, of course, the way they demonstrate their love and commitment to one another. No two words have so much impact on new beginnings than the words “I Do”.  With so much at stake, it is no wonder that there are so many details and decisions that must be made prior to the big day. Based on the many services available and the beautiful array of venues it provides, Dahlonega is a much-desired location for weddings.  The “I Do in Dahlonega” Wedding Expo brings together over 35 local and regional vendors, including photographers, florists, hair and make-up artists, caterers, entertainment and more, giving brides-to-be a unique, one stop shopping experience for both Dahlonega wedding venues and the services/businesses they need to make their special day memorable and magical.

While planning a wedding can be a daunting experience, especially for brides that are not local residents, the Dahlonega and Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with their local and regional businesses to host the annual “I Do in Dahlonega” wedding expo, scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00pm, at the UNG Banquet Halls A&B, on the Dahlonega campus.  Admission before March 15, 2017 is $15, and admission at the door is $20.

Dahlonega-Lumpkin County is synonymous with “perfect destination”, based on the visual impact of its surrounding area (waterfalls, mountains, vineyards and etc.), the many picturesque backdrops that dot the area and the romantic feel of being whisked away to a magical place; one that has the skills and services to make a wedding event spectacular, no matter the budget or the size of the wedding.
Guided venue tours are featured as part of the expo and are tailored to the size of the guest list, provided by three passenger van shuttles:

Shuttle #1     Takes brides and their bridal parties to venues that can accommodate 75 or less guests.
Shuttle #2     Visits those venues that best accommodate 75-150 guests
Shuttle #3     Is reserved for those brides that want to opt for a venue that can accommodate more than 150 guests

You are invited to experience a wide assortment of venue types during your site visit,  including:
  • Wineries
  • Barns
  • Resorts
  • Chapels, including chapel in woodland settings, and
  • Several venues located in historic downtown Dahlonega.
Tickets are available online at: https://dahlonegaweddingexpo.eventbrite.com
