Event Description:
Join us for an evening of songwriters in the round featuring Dahlonega's own Amy Ray, Radford Windham, Kurt Thomas, and Levi Lowry. This event will benefit Lumpkin County's food pantries by building a Hoop House garden at the Appalachian Studies Center to grow fresh fruits and vegetables for our community.
Amy Ray, known for the Grammy award winning folk duo Indigo Girls, continues to write and produce hits that touch our way of life with her unique back-roads warmth.   Kurt Thomas, a Dahlonega native, has opened for some of the biggest names in country music and has written and produced several albums.  Radford Windham, a lifelong musician and also a Dahlonega native recently recorded his debut album "Step Back Cadillac", a collection of stories based largely on the history of his hometown.  Levi Lowry, with a deeply rooted family background in music, sings from the heart with his poignant honesty, both dark and light, drawing inspiration from his own struggles and triumphs.
