Festivals

Festivals are an integral part of Dahlonega's rich heritage and are a superb way to take in the outdoor beauty of the area. From the Dahlonega Trail Fest in March to the Old Fashioned Christmas celebration in December, more than a dozen fun-filled festivals are held throughout the year.

Seventy or more carefully selected artists and crafters will display creative products for purchase during the two-day event in downtown Dahlonega. Hours for the festival are 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Visitors will be able to select from paintings in oil, acrylics, watercolors and mixed media, as well as creative photography. Quality crafts accepted by the jury committee will include ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, wood items, leather crafts, fused and stained glass, fiber arts, custom knives, and other hand crafted creations. ... read more

Dahlonega's Old Fashioned Christmas is a month-long celebration held from November 27 through December 31, 2020, set in motion with the Lighting of the Square. A real home-town parade officially bringing Santa to town occurs the first Saturday in December.
